<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve key operability of a compact portable terminal having comparatively many small keypads in a narrow footprint in a panel constituting the portable terminal. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A marker is provided in order to make fingertips easy to be matched to the small keypads. In the case of a rhombic keypad, a fact that its diagonal lines are longer than length of sides of the conventional rectangle is utilized. When the diagonal lines of the rhombic keypad formed by rotating the conventional rectangular keypad by 45 degrees are horizontally and vertically placed at two eye levels of a user, ease of matching fingers to the keypads when the fingers are matched to the keypads is drastically improved. Markers are provided at four corners of the rhombic keypad in order to further make the fingers easy to be matched.
