<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polarizing lens which excels in impact resistance and productivity, and moreover, is less apt to cause color unevenness, such as rainbow pattern or distortion, and to provide a manufacturing method for the polarizing lens. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The polarizing lens 1 comprises: a polarizing sheet 2, made by laminating a pair of protective films 11, 12 on both surfaces of the polarizing film 10; and a lens base layer 3 which is integrally fixed to the back side of the polarizing sheet 2, wherein the lens base layer 3 is made of thermoplastic polyurethane. The manufacturing method of the polarizing lens 1 comprises: a process of bending the polarizing sheet 2 with a prescribed curvature; a process of fitting the polarizing sheet 2, into a mold in which a cavity having a shape corresponding to the polarizing sheet 2 subjected to the bending is recessed so that the surface side of the polarizing sheet 2 which lies along the cavity; and a process of charging the thermoplastic polyurethane into a mold to which the polarizing sheet 2 is fitted and forming the lens base layer 3 on the back side of the polarizing sheet 2 through injection molding.
