<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reaction treating device capable of performing reaction treatment automatically by preventing entering of a foreign matter from the outside of a reaction container plate or environmental contamination to the outside. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This reaction treating device is equipped with a plate holding part 1, a syringe driving part 2, a valve driving part 3, a temperature adjustment part 4, and a control part 5 for controlling each operation thereof. Before reaction treatment in a reaction container 10, the control part 5 controls the syringe driving part 2 and the valve driving part 3 so that sample liquid is mixed with a reagent 45 by stirring a sample container 35 storing the sample liquid and the reagent 45 by using a syringe 51, and that the mixed liquid is sent into a reagent container 37 storing dilution liquid 49 and stirred by using the syringe 51 to dilute the mixed liquid, and that the diluted mixed liquid is sent into a main channel 13 linked to each reaction container 10.
