PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sterilization system capable of identifying a subject to be sterilized and recording the history of past sterilizations. SOLUTION: An ultraviolet or 3 provides an ultraviolet irradiation lamp 37 in a housing 30 to irradiate gloves 1 inserted through insertion holes 31 with ultraviolet light for sterilization. A bar code 14 is attached to the gloves 1 and a bar code reader 35 reads the bar code 14 to obtain information it indicates when the gloves 1 are inserted into an irradiation space S. The bar code 14 indicates, for example, the identification number of the gloves 1. The latest date and time of an ultraviolet irradiation is stored in a memory 38d by corresponding to the identification number read by the bar code reader. The control section 38 monitors the duration of time after the latest ultraviolet irradiation date and time stored in the memory 38d and outputs a warning if there are any gloves 1 having the duration of time too long.
