<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the impairment of the accuracy in measurement caused by irregular rotation, and to inexpensively narrow the diameter of an optical probe, in the optical probe and an optical tomographic imaging apparatus. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An optical fiber 12 and approximately cylindrical ferrules 13 and 14 are integrally fixed in the vicinity of the distal end of the optical fiber 12. A distal end optical system 15 which deflects the laser beam L from the optical fiber 12 toward a target Sb for measurement is held by the distal ends of the ferrules 13 and 14, and a transducer 40 is slidably fitted on the outer surface 13b of the ferrule 13.
