The signal light has a mantle surface segment (7) arranged on a longitudinal side of a rod-shaped light guiding element (1). Decoupling elements are formed as prism elements (8), which scatter light in a direction of a lateral surface segment (10) of the light guiding element. The lateral surface segment forms a light decoupling surface of the light guiding element and is arranged at the longitudinal side of the light guiding element. The longitudinal side is turned towards a reflector (5), so that the scattered light is reflected back from the reflector to the light guiding element.
