The invention relates to a device (700) for implanting an intraocular lens (701) into an eye, comprising an injection cartridge (702) and a tappet that can be pushed through a cartridge lumen (703). The intraocular lens can be pushed through a tapering distal cartridge end (708) by means of said tappet (707). At the distal end (709) of the tappet, a stamp section (710) is provided that abuts the inner wall (713, 714) of the cartridge lumen with a sealing effect and that has a front region (715) that acts upon the intraocular lens. According to the invention, a hollow chamber (720) with a hollow chamber geometry is provided in the stamp section, said geometry being such that pressure forces of the stamp section on the inner wall of the cartridge lumen are minimized in the region of the tapering cartridge end. |
