PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that when displaying a guidance while previewing a reading result, both a preview display region and a guidance display region have to be prepared, and if one region is widened, the other region is narrowed, or hides behind another window when displaying using windows. SOLUTION: An operational guidance based on which a user is to perform reading operations is displayed on the preview display region where image data read by an image reading apparatus is previewed.
