The lighting device has a light source and a lens (2) for bundling the light delivered by the light source. The light source is made up of a light emitting diode array. The lens has radial facets (14) at a part of the entrance surface or at a part of the exit surface or at a part of a total-reflecting lateral surface. The entire entrance surface or the entire exit surface is formed from the lens with radial facets. The lens is an injection casted plastic lens, which is particularly made up of polymethylmethacrylate or polycarbonate.
