PURPOSE: A block for controlling horizontal deformations provides increased strength by forming a reinforcing member. CONSTITUTION: A block(10) for controlling horizontal deformations comprises a rib(11). The rib has an isosceles trapezoid shape where the bottom surface is wider than the top surface. When soft ground is prepared, the rib compacts a compact layer(20), and increases bearing power. The rib has curved surfaces which effectively disperses load. Also, the rib has a reinforcing member(12) inside which improves strength. |
