PURPOSE: A height controlling device for a headrest of a vehicle seat is provided to conveniently control the height of the headrest by automatically ascending or descending the headrest using driving force of an electric motor. CONSTITUTION: A height controlling device for a headrest of a vehicle seat comprises a bracket(40), an electric motor(50), a lead screw(60), and a carrier(70). The bracket is fixed to an inner frame(21) of a seat backrest(20). The electric motor is fixed to one side of the bracket. The lead screw is rotated through a speed reduction gear box(80) by operating the electric motor toward the bottom of the bracket. The bottom end of the lead screw is supported by a stopper plate(90). Lifting rods(32) are stood up in both sides of the bracket. Pockets(71) are formed in both sides of the carrier. Poles of the headrest are accepted to the pockets. The lead screw is moved along the lifting rods up and down.
