METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CONTROLLING AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION

PURPOSE: A transmission control apparatus and a method of the same are provided to prevent a transmission flare and a transmission shock triggered from a decrease of a hydraulic pressure lower than the standard value in a combining side and a release side during a transmission of an manual power-on up-shift while operating a manual downshift due to an intention of a driver to accelerate. CONSTITUTION: A transmission control apparatus comprises: an acceleration sensor(10) detecting a pushing degree of an acceleration pedal; a transmission control sensing unit(50) detecting a current state of a transmission end; and a transmission control unit(30) calculating a time of a hydraulic pressure in a release side through a correction factor to correct a duty value of the hydraulic pressure in a combining side by the calculated time of the hydraulic pressure in the release side. A manual power-on up-shift is operated from a corrected control pattern of a transmission.
