<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply adjust the frequency characteristic of the elastic wave device with a few processes. <P>SOLUTION: The elastic wave device comprises a piezoelectric substrate 2 having piezoelectric characteristics, an interdigital electrode 3 having a plurality of electrode fingers prepared on the piezoelectric substrate 2, and an adjustment medium 5 of at least one layer formed to cover at least a part of the interdigital electrode 3. For elastic wave device formation its frequency characteristic is adjusted according to an area T of a region where the thickness is made thicker than other section by the adjustment medium 5 in an excitation region occupied by the electrode fingers and a space between the electrode fingers on the piezoelectric substrate 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
