<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a user and an opening/closing cover from contacting a movable operation panel during the user's operation in an image forming device equipped with the movable operation panel. <P>SOLUTION: An operation panel is equipped with: an opening/closing cover 18 for exposing a paper conveying mechanism 11 and the inside of the paper conveying mechanism 11; on operation panel 20 including at least one of the functions of operation acceptance and device information display, and movable in a region including an interference region that interferes with at least either the region where the opening/closing cover 18 is movable or the region above that region; a lock mechanism 50 for regulating and locking the opening/closing movement of the opening/closing cover 18; a panel position detection part 40 for detecting the position of the operation panel 20; and a control part 100 for causing the locking mechanism 50 to lock the opening/closing cover 18 in a closed state when the position of the operation panel 20 detected by the panel position detection part 40 is in the interference region. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
