PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic device which can be started in a user-desired mode, even if a portable device with a plurality of modes is attached to on-vehicle equipment. SOLUTION: The portable device attachable to the on-vehicle equipment has the plurality of modes and is provided with a control means for selecting a specific mode set by the user when attached to the on-vehicle equipment.
