<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container for specimen picking and an inspection kit being in no danger of specimen liquid leaking to the exterior in preparing the specimen liquid and used to appropriately introduce the specimen liquid in proper quantities into a detection kit. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This container for specimen picking used to extract a specimen and introduce it into the inspection kit, comprises a container body and a lid part, and is equipped with opening parts at least in an upper end part and a lower end part, respectively, of the container body. This container has a structure in which the lid part is capable of sealing up the interior of the container body with a specimen picking tool closely put through the opening part in the upper end part while having a structure in which the opening part in the lower end part is sealed up.
