<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration damper which can adjust the natural frequency of the vibration damper with high efficiency to a desired number of vibrations. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A vibration damper 1, which is mounted to a damping object to damp the vibrations of the damping object, includes an attachment portion attached to damping the object, displacement portion 2b which keeps the axial end portion 2c connected to the attachment portion, and is flexible and relatively displaceable to damping the object, and a plurality of sliding members 8 which are filled inside the displacement portion and slide to each other as the displacement portion vibrates. The plurality of filled sliding members have the larger total 8a of the cross-sectional area in the perpendicular direction to the axial direction than the total of the cross-sectional area of the axial other portion. The relationship between the sum M of the mass of a plurality of sliding members having the larger area and the mass of a portion 2d covering the larger area portion of the displacement portion and the length L between axial attachment portion and the larger area portion is set so that the displacement portion resonates in the natural frequency of the object to be damped.
