PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lock release tool for connectors constituted to surely and easily release the engagement of the connectors connected to each other, and to hold the detached connectors to prevent an undesired fall. SOLUTION: The lock release tool 1 for the connectors comprises a projecting part 3 inserted in a second connector housing 11 to abut on a locking arm 13 and to elastically deform the locking arm 13 according to the amount of insertion to thereby release engagement between the locking arm 13 and a locking part 24 of the first connector housing 22, and a holding part fitted to the outside surface of the second connector housing 11 accompanied by the insertion of the projecting part into the second connector housing 11, and holding the second connector housing 11 after the release of engagement between the locking part 24 and the locking arm 13.
