PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint connector capable of reliably confirming the fitted state of a male terminal and a female terminal during the manufacturing of a wiring harness, and to increase work efficiency for manufacturing the wiring harness, and a method of connecting terminals to each other using the joint connector. SOLUTION: The joint connector 1 includes: a first opening 9 into which a plurality of terminals are inserted; a housing 3 having a second opening 11 opened in a direction opposite to the first opening 9; a connecting conductor 5 fixed in the housing 3 and having a plurality of fitting portions 18 that can be fitted into the terminals 51 inserted from the first opening 9; and a plug member 7 constituted of a member different from the connecting conductor 5 and the housing 3 and shaped fittable into the housing 3 to close the second opening 11 after the terminals 51 are fitted over the fitting portions 18.
