<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve copy performance and host write performance by rearranging physical arrangement in a copy destination logical disk in the case of executing the difference copy of a logical disk. Ž<P>SOLUTION: After executing the copy of a logical disk, copy execution and mirror right to a copy destination logical disk is stopped, and when resuming copy and mirror right again, the occurrence of host write access to a copied region during the stop of copy execution is managed by extent units, and as for the logical extent of the copy origin logical disk where a data difference exists, the assignment of the physical extent of the corresponding copy destination logical disk is temporarily released, and copy destination physical extent is reassigned under the consideration of the access performance of the copy execution and host mirror write, and the copy is executed.
