<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a timepiece dial having excellent optical transparency and excellent esthetic appearance, to provide a method for manufacturing the timepiece dial having excellent optical transparency and excellent esthetic appearance, to provide a timepiece with the timepiece dial, and to provide the timepiece excellent in the efficiency of solar-cell power generation and esthetic appearance. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The timepiece dial 1 includes a substrate 2 formed of a material having optical transparency, and a film 3 formed so as to partially cover the substrate 2 when the substrate 2 is viewed in a plan view. The film 3 is formed in such a manner that the luminance of a first face 31 facing the substrate 2 is higher than that of a second face 32 at the opposite side of the first face 31.
