<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric blower capable of surely preventing air circulation passing through a ball bearing disposed at a fan side by a simple structure without using a ball bearing with a seal member. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The electric blower is provided with a motor frame comprising a first frame member including a first bearing housing and an exhaust part at the housing side, and a second frame member 4 at a fan 25 side including a second bearing housing 4a. A rotor 15 including a rotary shaft 16 having the fan 25 fixed thereon is rotatably supported by the motor frame while using a ball bearing. The rotary shaft 16 is energized to the fan side by a preload spring. A dust proofing disk 20 rotating as one unit with the shaft 16 and covering the housing 4a from the inside of the motor frame is supported by the shaft. The frame member 4 includes a housing surrounding part 4c extending from the bearing housing 4a to a periphery thereof. A ring shape seal member 23 is provided between the surrounding part 4c and the dust proofing disk 20 opposing the surrounding part, and a section between the housing surrounding part 4c and the dust proofing disk 20 is sealed by the seal member 23.
