PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crayon having no internal fine cavity although the crayon has a gel hardness ranging from 30 to 40 Kg/cm<SP>2</SP>. SOLUTION: The crayon contains a colorant, an organic solvent, a resin component as well as at least one kind of benzylidene sorbitol selected from dibenzylidene sorbitol, tribenzylidene sorbitol and their derivatives, and N-acylaminoacid amides as a gelling agent, wherein the crayon contains benzylidene sorbitols in an amount of 3 to 15 wt.% and N-acylaminoacid amides in an amount of 0.5 to 4.5 wt.%, contains benzylidene sorbitols and N-acrylaminoacid amides in a weight ratio of the benzylidene sorbitols/N-acrylaminoacid amides ranging from 95/5 to 65/35, and has a gel hardness ranging from 30 to 40 Kg/cm<SP>2</SP>.
