PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a label without a mounting which can prevent fraudulent acts such as removing and reusing the label later, which is resource saving, and which contributes to reduction in waste, and to provide a method of using the label without the mounting. SOLUTION: The label 1 without the mounting is so constituted that: a release agent layer 4 is provided at least on a part of the surface of a strip-like label substrate 3, and an adhesive part 6 whereon an adhesive 5 is applied and a glue-less part 7 whereon the adhesive 5 is not applied are provided on the back of the label substrate 3 respectively; and the label 1 without ground paper is wound in a roll shape. The adhesive part 6 is provided at the end of each one unit of label substrate 3, and one or more cuts 11a, 11b, 12a, 12b penetrating the release agent layer 4 and the label substrate 3 are formed in the adhesive part 6. Even if someone tries to remove the label 1 attached in a loop shape around the handle of a bag, the label 1 is torn from the cuts, and the fraudulent reuse can be prevented.
