PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic lock unit which electronically reinforces a mechanical locking means of an existing appliance. SOLUTION: This electronic lock unit includes: an electronic lock 200 which is locked/unlocked by making a dead bolt 212 protrude/recede with an electronic key; a key 100 which is a mechanical key for the appliance requiring locking, and which is incorporated into a body 126 having a space 123 for the protrusion/receding of the dead bolt of the electronic lock and a knob for operating the mechanical key; and an engaging means 121 for attaching the electronic lock and the key to the appliance in such a manner as to engage them each other.
