PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an artificial nail chip which has high impact absorbency and provides an excellent fitting feeling. SOLUTION: The artificial nail chip is formed of a plastic thin plate where both of the longitudinal cross section and a transverse cross section orthogonally crossing the longitudinal cross section curved into convex shapes. The thickness of an area 13 close to the front end is continuously increased toward the center section 14 of the area 13 from the peripheral edge of the area 13. It is preferable that the maximum thickness is obtained in the center section 14 which is apart from the front end 11 by L/3±2.5 mm (L is the length of the chip), and also that the ratio of the length L to the width W is double to triple.
