<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for efficiently observing volume of a droplet, which is discharged from a droplet discharging means so as to have various shapes. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A droplet amount measuring method includes: acquisition of flying images of a plurality of droplets, which are discharged from a droplet discharging means and have various ligaments, a droplet amount curve, which is calculated by sweeping binary threshold values over respective images, calculation of threshold values, at which the droplet amount curve becomes equal to the droplet amounts measured with a weight acquiring means, a threshold value curve, which is calculated between a plurality of ligaments and the threshold values; and optimization of the binary threshold values in the image analysis of droplets having various flying shapes based on the threshold value curve in the order named.
