PORTABLE CLINICAL THERMOMETER CAPABLE OF PROVIDING VISUAL IMAGES

The present invention relates to a portable clinical thermometer which is able to provide visual images, and more particularly, capable of photographing a part of the body where problems are suspected and provide a photographic image while measuring body temperature so that the user may address an emergency situation. The portable clinical thermometer according to the present invention comprises: a protruding unit for body insertion formed on one side; a thermometer module at the end tip of the protruding unit for detecting infrared radiation from the body and generating an electric signal corresponding to the amount of infrared radiation; a camera module installed at the other end of the protruding unit for photographing the inside of the body and generating an image signal; a microprocessor that calculates body temperature from electrical signals from the thermometer module and generates a visual image from image signals from the camera module; a storage unit that receives and stores temperature or visual image information from the microprocessor; and a display unit that displays body temperature calculated by the microprocessor and the generated visual image. Additionally, the thermometer is capable of displaying variations in body temperature or visual image depending on time lapse by using the temperature and visual image information stored in the storage unit.
