<p>Provided is a process for producing 13C, which is a non -radioactive stable isotope, by using a general-purpose hydrocarbon compound as the raw material without producing radioactive wastes. A process for the production of 13C, which is a non-radioactive stable isotope of carbon, by subjecting a raw material hydrocarbon compound to reaction in the presence of hydrogen, a sulfur compound, and a reaction catalyst at a temperature of 500 to 1000°C, characterized in that the reaction catalyst is a sintered nickel compact or a sintered nickel alloy compact.</p> |
