PURPOSE: An array substrate for an in-plane switching mode LCD and a method for fabricating the same are provided to reduce a contact defect of a jumping part, thereby improving a producing rate. CONSTITUTION: The first common aid wire(150) is crossed with a gate link cable(113) of a non-display area on a gate insulating layer(122). The first common aid wire is formed by material same as the data wire. The second common aid wire(182) is overlapped with the first common aid wire on a protective layer. The second common aid wire is contacted with the first common aid wire through a plurality of second contact holes(166). The second common aid wire is contacted with a plurality of common wires through the first contact holes(164).
