PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting fixture capable of increasing a lamp output while securing lamp life nearly the same as a conventional one. SOLUTION: The lighting fixture 1B is provided with a fluorescent lamp La1 equipped with a straight-tube type glass bulb with a base fitted at either end part respectively and a filament structured by connecting at least one coil with an emitter attached to the base, a pair of sockets 22c with the base of the fluorescent lamp La1 mounted respectively, and a lighting unit 10 making the connected fluorescent lamp La1 to be lit through the sockets 22c and capable of controlling supply power, with a wire diameter of at least one coil structuring the filament to be 65 to 100μm, and an emitter volume attached to the filament to be 5 to 11 mg. A total length of the fluorescent lamp La1 is shorter than that of an original fluorescent lamp La102 having rated power to be nearly 0.9 to 1.25 times of the fluorescent lamp La1, equipped with a straight-tube type glass bulb to be regulated in a predetermined dimension.
