VIBRATION DAMPER MECHANISM FOR STEEL CONSTRUCTION AND MULTISTORY PARKING TOWER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration damper mechanism for a steel construction capable of providing an earthquake resistance to the steel construction without largely changing the design of the steel construction.

SOLUTION: The steel construction is formed of beams 3 having webs 31 and flanges 32 and columns. Diagonally disposed braces 40 are provided in the frame structural surface areas 50 formed of the beams 3 and the columns. The beam 3 is provided with the openings 33 of the flanges 32 on the sides thereof connected to the braces 40. The brace 40 is connected to the beam 3 through a gusset plate 34 having a damper structure 36 deformed by a predetermined external force interposed in the opening area 33.
