PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a film forming member, in which omission of a film is prevented. SOLUTION: The method for producing a color filter having a plurality of divided parts 16 on a base material, and discharging a liquid material as a plurality of liquid droplets to each of the divided parts 16 from a liquid droplet discharging head to form a pigment film in each of the divided parts 16, comprises: a partition wall forming step of forming partition walls 11 for dividing the divided parts 16 on the base material; a lyophilic treatment step of treating each of the divided parts 16 so as to have lyophilicity; a divided part specifying step of confirming the lyophilicity of each of the divided parts 16 to specify the divided part 16 having weak lyophilicity; a liquid droplet discharge step of discharging the liquid droplet to each of the divided parts 16 from the liquid droplet discharging head; and a solidification step of solidifying the liquid droplet discharged to each of the divided parts 16 to form the pigment film. At the liquid droplet discharge step, an area is formed by connecting liquid droplet centers, which are arranged on the outermost periphery of each of the divided parts 16, to one another and the area of the divided part 16 having weak lyophilicity is made larger than that of the divided part 16 having strong lyophilicity, namely, the divided part 16 having weak lyophilicity is made to have a wider discharge zone.
