摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a sense of incongruity to be generated on a driver when steering control for avoiding contact with an obstacle is made. SOLUTION: When a steering avoidance performance is lower than a set threshold value, steering control for contact-avoidance with an obstacle is suppressed (section B in Fig.10). When the steering avoidance performance becomes lower than the set threshold value and the contact avoidance effect with the obstacle by steering control is reduced, therefore, the steering control is suppressed.
