PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a specimen container in which: the accommodation efficiency of a specimen is good; an excessive amount of liquid medicine is not used for the size of the specimen; it is easy to stick a label printed with a bar code; and it is easy to visually recognize the specimen. SOLUTION: The specimen container includes: a container body 2, and a lid 5 watertightly screwed on the neck part 3 of the container body. The bottom 4 of the container body 2 is provided so as to secure the necessary inner volume corresponding to the size of an accommodated specimen.
