<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for detecting an AE (acoustic emission) signal generating part on a secondary battery. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The method for detecting the AE signal generating part of the secondary battery comprises steps for detecting AE signals generated in a battery case 300 from AE signal detecting sensors 11, 12 mounted at a plurality of positions of the battery case 300, and detecting the AE signal generating part in the secondary battery 1000 based on a time when a plurality of AE signal detecting sensors 11, 12 detect the AE signals.
