PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To hold the newest information on a shuttle vehicle such as a streetcar or a shuttle bus traveling along a road, and to calculate a route corresponding to a traveling state of the shuttle vehicle based on the newest information. SOLUTION: This car navigation device 1 includes a navigation ECU 2, a position detector 3, a map data storage device 4, a display 5, a voice output device 6, an operation switch group 9, a media connection part 10, and an external information reception part 11 or the like. The navigation ECU 2 updates transport facility data when transport facility data obtained by the media connection part 10 or the external information reception part 11 are reformed or abolished, calculates a regular route from a starting place to a destination by using road data, calculates a special route excluding a route for a shuttle vehicle when the route for the shuttle vehicle exists in the regular route, and performs guidance along either route.
