PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for industrially efficiently preparing a low-colored aminoaryl aminobenzazole compound with few steps and within a short time. SOLUTION: The method for preparing the aminoaryl aminobenzazole compound of formula (2) (wherein Ar<SP>1</SP>and Ar<SP>2</SP>are identical to or different from each other and are each a benzene ring or the like; and X is NH or the like) comprises reducing a nitroaryl nitrobenzazole compound of formula (1) (wherein Ar<SP>1</SP>, Ar<SP>2</SP>and X are as defined above) in the presence of an adsorbent, which is preferably activated carbon.
