<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress light emission colors to be observed from varying depending on an angle for viewing a light emitting device. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The light emitting device D1 includes a light reflection layer 14 and a translucent reflective counter electrode 20 arranged oppositely to each other, and a light emission function layer 18 interposed between the light reflection layer 14 and counter electrode 20. The light emitting device includes a resonator structure for resonating light emitted from the light emission function layer 18 between the light reflection layer 14 and the counter electrode 20. The light emitting device includes an optical correction layer 22 which is interposed between the light reflection layer 14 and the counter electrode 20, and has refractive index anisotropy where a refractive index in viewed from a direction orthogonal to a normal line L is larger than a refractive index in viewed from a direction of the normal line L passing through a surface.
