<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for adjusting hands which is excellent in the operability, and prevents an erroneous operation. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the apparatus 100 for adjusting the hands in a movement 1 of an analog timepiece, the movement includes: a motor 210; a reduction gear mechanism 310 coupled to the motor; hand pipes 410, 420 for mounting the hands; a case body 600 for supporting them. The apparatus for adjusting the hands includes a hand adjusting pinion 110 engaged with a gear 311 coupled to the hand pipes, and rotates the hand pipes by rotating the hand adjusting pinion. A groove 111 into which a rotating tool 120 is inserted and a hole 112 into which an operating element 130 is pressed and coupled are provided on an end face of the hand adjusting pinion. An opening 613 for outwardly exposing the groove and the hole is provided in the case body. The groove and the hole are positioned in the back of the opening distant from a surface of the case body.
