<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain vertical load receiving replacement following the removal of a column even when an existing beam cannot be temporarily received from the side. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This reinforcing structure 1 for a column-beam frame is constructed by bonding reinforcing posts 4, 4 to the facing side faces of a pair of existing columns 3, 3 arranged to face each other and arranging arch members 6, 6 between the reinforcing posts 4, 4 and an existing beam 5 extended over the heads of the existing columns 3, 3. The lower face of the existing beam 5 is hangingly provided with a top part 7a left unremoved out of an existing middle column 7, and tapered surfaces 8, 8 tapered downward are formed at the top parts. The arch members 6, 6 are arranged almost symmetrically on both sides of the top part 7a, and the lower ends of the arch members abut on the end faces of the top parts of the reinforcing posts 4, 4, while the upper ends abut on the tapered surfaces 8, 8 respectively.
