<p>An axial thin-film reactor comprises a cylindrical pressure casing (1), a device for letting in a gaseous reactant stream (4), and a device for letting out a gaseous product stream (3). A device for receiving a catalyst bed (7) is arranged vertically in a reaction chamber. The reaction chamber is separated from reactor wall for forming two separate chambers for gaseous reactant stream and gaseous product stream, which are sealed with respect to one another. The vertically arranged device has two gas-permeable bounding walls, which are arranged plane-parallel to one another. The axial thin-film reactor comprises a cylindrical pressure casing, a device for letting in a gaseous reactant stream, and a device for letting out a gaseous product stream. A device for receiving a catalyst bed arranged vertically in a reaction chamber is also provided. The reaction chamber is separated from reactor wall for forming two separate chambers for gaseous reactant stream and gaseous product stream, which are sealed with respect to one another. The vertically arranged device has two gas-permeable bounding walls, which are arranged plane-parallel to one another. The device has a height-to-thickness ratio greater than 1. A gas inlet and a gas outlet are also arranged at end of the cylindrical pressure casing. An independent claim is included for a method for carrying out catalytic reactions in a gas phase, which involves predominantly passing catalyst bed with the gaseous reactant stream.</p> |
