PURPOSE: A cold-keeping material is provided to lower ice point while keeping a cooling effect, to ensure excellent icing safety, and to maintain food and drinks at a low temperature for a long time. CONSTITUTION: A cold-keeping material with improved icing safety and coldness-keeping property is obtained by absorbing ethyl alcohol and water to a highly absorptive resin. The ethyl alcohol is absorbed to the highly absorptive resin in the amount of 1~15 parts by volume based on 100 parts by volume of water. The highly absorptive resin is starch, synthetic resin, and cellulose-based resin.
