METHOD FOR SEGMENTATION OF LYMPH NODES ON DIFFUSION WEIGHTED IMAGING

PURPOSE: A method for extracting a lymph node from a diffusion weighted image is provided to improve accuracy of lymph node metastasis. CONSTITUTION: A lymph node is firstly extracted from a diffusion weighted image using signal intensity information of a lymph node(S121). The lymph node is secondly extracted using apparent diffusion coefficient information of the lymph(S122). The lymph node is thirdly extracted using anatomical position information of the lymph(S123). The lymph node is finally extracted using the shape information of the lymph node(S124).
