PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaging box simplifying opening work and improving the opening workability and easiness in putting in and out an article. SOLUTION: In the packaging box 1 assembled in a box shape by bending a spread sheet 2, a top wall 18 overlapping an upper wall 17 from the upper side is connected to a right sidewall 13, and an insertion piece 19 is connected to the top wall 18. A lock part 80 in which the insertion piece 18 is inserted is connected to a left sidewall 14. When the insertion piece 19 is inserted in the lock part 80 to lock the right and left sidewalls 13 and 14 so that they are not spread, the packaging box 1 is made into a closed box shape. On the other hand, a taking-out opening 20 of the article is formed in the left-right direction by pulling out the insertion piece 19 and spreading the right and left sidewalls 13 and 14 to the position where the right and left sidewalls 13 and 14 come to the same plane as the plane of the bottom wall 10.
