<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fire extinguishing nozzle which adopts the advantages of a three-way fire extinguishing nozzle and the rod-like fire extinguishing nozzle while eliminating the disadvantages of the both nozzles and performs rod-like direct water discharge although being a rod-like fire extinguishing nozzle. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The fire extinguishing nozzle includes: an external cylinder 25 to be axially moved by rotation with respect to an internal cylinder 22; a water discharge pipe 29 which is stored inside the internal cylinder 22 and whose distal end is opened as a jetting port 34 for rod-like direct water discharge; a mobile valve 38 to be externally fitted to the water discharge pipe 29 so as to be moved with respect to a valve element 36 arranged in the outer periphery of the distal end of the water discharge cylinder 29; a valve seat element 45 for opening/closing the rear end of the water discharge pipe 29; a transmission member 44 for transmitting the axial movement of the mobile valve 38 to the valve seat element 45; and a switch valve seat 43 which is abutted onto the valve element 36 when the external cylinder 25 is moved to the progress position and is abutted onto the mobile valve 38 in the middle of the backward movement to stop the water discharge in respective cases.
