The module (10) has a set of circulating transportation elements e.g. rollers (32, 34), contacting a front side of a valuable note. Another set of circulating transportation elements e.g. rollers (42, 44, 48, 50), contacts a rear side of the valuable note during transportation of the valuable note. A drive unit (16) displaces the transportation elements transverse to a transportation direction (P1) of a transportation path of the valuable note. The transportation elements are arranged opposite to each other on opposite sides of the transportation path.
