<p>The invention relates to an improved rapid palatal expansion screw including a central shaft or screw (2) to which is coupled a part (3) which is connected at the side ends thereof to identical symmetrical segments (4) from which anchoring arms (6) extend. The screw (2) includes threaded rings (7) above and below the part (3), hinged to two inclined shafts (8) which are in turn connected at the opposite ends thereof to the segments (4). The segments (4) have a T configuration and the central part thereof connects same to the part (3) by means of a connecting part (5).</p> |
