<p>When constructing a transverse electromagnetic (TEM) coil array (10) for a high-field magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) device, stripline coils (14) are inductively coupled using decoupling transformers (30, 30'). The decoupling transformers (30, 30') are sequentially tuned to decouple stripline coils from each other. Using inductive decoupling eliminates a wired electrical connection between stripline coils (14), thereby facilitating removal of one or more coils for replacement or to increase space in the bore of the MRI device.</p> |
