The user device includes: a reception unit which receives a signal containing the synchronization channel; a symbol timing candidate detection unit which detects a symbol timing candidates of synchronization signals from the synchronization channel in accordance with correlation between time regions of the received signal and the replica signal of the primary synchronization channel; a secondary synchronization channel correlation detection unit which correlation-detects the secondary synchronization channel in accordance with the symbol timing candidates of the synchronization signals; and a secondary synchronization channel detection unit which detects the secondary synchronization channel in accordance with the result of the correlation detection.
